Dear Parent,
1. Christmas Events
Before we consider the new term, I just
wish to look back at some of our Christmas activities.
Ø Thank you for supporting the PTA Christmas
fayre and raffle and I am delighted to inform you that, with the raffle sales
of £1,200, for the first time we have succeeded in raising over £2,000 for the
PTA funds.
Ø I was delighted with the performance of
the children in our Christmas concerts and we are now able to offer you DVD copies
of the Monday performance. Please
complete the attached pro-forma if you wish to reserve a DVD.
Ø We are collecting Christmas cards for
recycling and would be grateful to receive any contributions by the middle of
next week.
2. Pantomime
The PTA pays for our annual visit to the
Princess Royal Theatre,
3. Healthy Schools Initiative
We are continuing to investigate the
possibility of setting up a fruit and vegetable co-operative, which would
provide a service for the community as well as giving older children the
opportunity to use their enterprise skills. More information will be coming out shortly.
4. Basic Skills Award
The school has been successful in
receiving its third basic skills award, which is a credit to the shared efforts
of the children, staff and parents.
5. PTA Committee Meeting
Our next meeting is to be held at

Arrangements have been made for parents to
meet with class teachers on Thursday, 8th February from
