Extra-Curricular Activities
A range of extra-curricular activities can be provided. These may vary from year to year, but can include:
- Computer work
- British Sign Language
- A gardening club
- Dragon Sport activities
- Organised games
- Environmental activities
- Educational visits
- Concerts
A new programme of enrichment incorporating
French, Drama and art activities for juniors is also made available. A swimming
programme is arranged for older children and cycling proficiency and first aid
lessons can be provided for Y6 pupils. The development of the school grounds
has provided a valuable educational resource for all pupils.
Parental
consent is always sought prior to taking the children on local educational
visits.
The
range of educational visits is dependent upon voluntary contributions from
parents. The Local Education Authority has defined its policy on charges and
remissions for school activities and this policy is available at the school.
The Governing Body is unable to meet in whole or in part any charges payable to
the Authority.
